Aaron Bernard Wildavsky was born on May 31, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York and died on Sept. 4, 1993 in Oakland, California. Wildavsky was a professor of political science and public policy at the University of California, Berkeley beginning in 1962. He was the chair of the political science department, the founding dean of the Graduate School of Public Policy, and on the staff of the Survey Research Center.
